Does your team hear from you regularly by email? Do you share regular updates - both on your department and on the company as a whole? Does your team know these updates are coming and regularly read them? 

Email newsletters can be one of the easiest and most time effective ways to connect with your team.

Private Podcast

You can also use a private podcast to communicate with your team - at unusual times. A podcast can be listened to wherever you are... including while you commute, in the car, while you exercise, while you walk the dog, or even while you do chores.

Your employees are mobile (and always have their phones handy). Your messaging should be too. 

Because these podcasts are private, if an employee leaves, you can remove their access. They are also not searchable online. 

So private podcasts can be very time effective way to communicate with your team. Use your Manager Portal to set up this functionality and connect with your employees.

How easy is it for your team members to contact you? And do you have regular ways to communicate so you aren't on call 24/7? Does your team know when and how to use the different methods?

There are a couple easy ways to improve your contact with team members:

• Start with having regular group coaching times,
• Set up agendas and specific times to connect with your direct reports, and
• Create normal and emergency contact procedures (calls, texts, emails and timing).
